Inclusive, accessible sailing in USA

Hansa 303 sailors took to the water in Baltimore in early October as part of Baltimore Sailing Club’s ‘Ya’Gotta Regatta’.

The event is an important fundraiser for the Club’s adaptive sailing program.

5 races were completed for the 303 singles, with Nicole Ritchey winning 3 of the 5 races.

The Club was featured in an article in July by the “Baltimore Fishbowl”, which covered programs in the Baltimore area that aim to make sailing more accessible to all.

The article also featured the stories of the Universal Sailing Club, a group that was formed in 2001 for African-American people to discover sailing and the Siebel Sailing Program – designed to attract middle-school children to the sport.
